News Alert: Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions has now confirmed on the first Monday of the year that Amir King Khan’s proposed HBO date is 16th April 2011 in the UK, who he will fight is under great speculation.
Does anybody else get excited with how close this will be the the Manny/Mosley fight on May 7th?

Nabeela has won fan of the year via Team Khan! This was to be expected of course and we received screen shots from anon ? (from her facebook email it appears though will NOT repost) from some folks claiming that as early as December 15th Nabeela knew about her winning. Either way of course it would be fixed. She is the biggest fan!
She deserves it!
Even if you aren’t a Khan fan, you know who Nabeela is. She has been on every forum/blog/facebook page there is that has to do with Amir Khan. She is like your cute daughter who is obsessed with Justin Beeber.
I am glad she won!
Of course I would love to spend the day with Amir if nothing else but to spar but if it comes down to me or this lion of a lady…hands down Nabeela all the way! Within the next few weeks Nabeela will get to have a photo session with the beloved Brit and spend a full day with him as well. This will be Nabz second time doing so and we wish her nothing but the best and congrats all the way!
Also, late January Amir will be hosting a Pakistani Flood Victims fundraiser dinner in Bolton with live entertainment and surprise guests. There are only a handfull of tickets left. Make sure to visit his site here to snag yours: http://www.amirkhanworld.com/?p=1075

Well this got interesting.
I just got an email saying Arum is pushing a deal between our (proven) lion of a fighter Margo and one of my favorite badboys of the ring Cotto! I’d love to see these two at it again. This brings me back to the first time they went toe to toe.
We all have the images in our head.
The blood.
Everywhere.
Was there an area of skin that didn’t have blood on it?
Cotto was fuc&ed up, no question about it. However, the heat comes into play here. How much of that was the heat, vs Margo? Obviously having weighted gloves will do greater damage but how much more? This will be am amaing opportunity for Margo, as was The MANny bout.
However, my question is this: is this too soon?
Remember last month we all heard the rumors that Margo will NEVER fight again? Not by choice of course, NO. Margo was so hurt so badly, so brutally damaged, he actually physicaly wouldn’t be able to fight. This killed not only me, but the boxing community as a whole. Here is a now PROVEN badass at many would still call his prime, shut down.
With just a month into the healing process I’m not sure if this is the right decision.
Arum is…well Arum.
Like he so eloquently put at a group huddle to finalize terms “it’s all about teh benjamins baby” – yes Mr. Arum it is.
So what do you think?
Too soon?
Keep those gloves up!

In a fight for the books Amir Khan has defeated Maidana in what many have already called it ‘The Fight Of The Year’!
It was a fantastic fight, and the crowd was amazing!

So the forums are all ablaze with how much Maidana is geared up and ready to spring on Khan though from his training session from yesterday I’m not seeing how this is the best shape of his career. Maybe I’m missing something. Probably not. Either way, the count down is on.

Hey guys! It’s great to be back on Sky Box Office ahead of my fight with Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas and just as good to start my daily fight diary to keep you all updated on how I’m doing! What can I say? I’m buzzing ahead of this fight and am ready to jump in the ring just now! Believe me when I say I’m more than ready for this fight and to put on a show on December 11. I started my camp ahead of schedule this time as I was training alongside Manny Pacquiao in Baguio City in the Philippines. That was a great experience for me being out there, away from the comforts I’m used to at home, and just getting my head down alongside the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. I want to emulate Manny and follow in his footsteps and I’m doing that by taking on the best in the light-welterweight division starting with Marcos Maidana. This guy can punch and has an impressive knockout record but come fight night I am going to show why I am the best and strongest in the division – it’s going to be a great fight. During the last couple of months I have been away from home and not seen my family, so I was delighted when my Mum and Dad, along with my brother Haroon touched down in LA this week. It’s fantastic seeing them after such a long time. I hadn’t seen Haroon since he won bronze in the Commonwealth Games, so when he arrived I told him how proud I was of him and how he got on. Mum’s enjoying it out here in LA too and she was a bit upset because I couldn’t make it home for Eid due to my commitments, and usually on the night of my fight she is very nervous and prays a lot for me. But she doesn’t need to worry because I have been having a great camp, working alongside the very best in Freddie Roach and my conditioning coach Alex Ariza – these guys are geniuses. Alex has got me into a routine, every morning I am up at 5.30am to work solely on my fitness and conditioning – it’s hard getting up so early but I know it’s going to be worth it. Today Alex had me shadow boxing in a sandpit to help strengthen my legs! Then in the afternoon I had a media day where all the US press got to see me workout and get a glimpse of what good shape I’m in. Oscar De La Hoya and all the Golden Boy team where there too. I had a bunch of interviews as well afterwards to get my thoughts on the fight. It was a long day, and it’s all part of the fight game I guess to help the promotion, but usually in the afternoon I have my training session with Freddie behind closed doors. Fellow Bolton lad, Vernon Kay, also popped into the gym this week to see how I was getting on. He is in America filming his new TV show, and yes, our conversation did get onto how well Bolton are doing in the league this year! Kevin Davies and the lads have been in excellent form and we are pushing for a Champions League place… it seems! Anyway guys, stay tuned because I’m going to keep you up-to-date on a daily basis on how I am progressing ahead of my world title fight at Mandalay Bay and as I say you won’t be disappointed! Only 9 days to go now! Thanks, AK

Keep Your Gloves Up!
Amir Khan, 23 has gone from “who is that” to “the boxer?” in a matter of months in the US. While his fame has been growing by the thousands across the pond Americans as a whole are just now discovering this gem of a fighter.
Known for being among the best P4P fighters hailing from the UK this next match will be the largest catapult he has ever been on.
December 11th in none other than Las Vegas he will be up against Maidana known throughout the boxing community to be quite the badass. Maidana has a fairly impressive record with 30 fights under his belt. 29 of those fights Maidana came ou on top with 27 KOs.
Those numbers don’t seem to rattle our beloved Amir Khan as he has been in training camp ahead of schedule training with none other than Pacman.
With the fight looming just around the corner this may very well be the beginning of a new legacy in boxing.
Keep your gloves up!
